Like the Split-Fire 4209, easily pinch, move, toss, and split wood with all the freedom of movement provided by the splitter’s placement on the end of your excavator arm without needing to move your vehicle like you would with a skid-steer machine, and split twice as fast as a conventional excavator-mounted splitter thanks to Split-Fire’s signature 2-way splitting design. If you’re splitting straight-grain wood, you can double your efficiency again by simply popping out the quick-change pin and swapping the interchangeable knife for the 4-way wedge, letting you quarter logs in a single split.
The 4409 uses self-lubricating UHMW slide pads and takes all hydraulics from your excavator, making it a maintenance-free machine. With a rated 32 tons of splitting force at 2900 PSI, all you need to do is slip it on via the quick attach, plug in the hoses, and you’ll have this splitter handling 400+ lb. logs like kindling.
