Who We Are
Split-Fire Sales is dedicated to designing and manufacturing high-quality, high-performance equipment built to deliver exceptional productivity, durability, and lasting reliability. Where We Started
For more than 40 years, Split-Fire Sales Inc. has been designing and manufacturing high-quality log splitters, wood chippers, and equipment built for demanding work. Serving the agricultural, forestry, equipment rental, and property maintenance industries, Split-Fire products are engineered around productivity, durability, and long-term value.
Split-Fire was founded in 1984 by Lubbert “Bert” Vanderweerd, inventor of the original 2-Way Log Splitter. His inventive spirit remains at the heart of the company today, driving Split-Fire to continually refine its equipment, develop new solutions, and find better ways to get work done.
More than four decades later, Split-Fire remains committed to the same principles it was built on: practical innovation, dependable performance, and equipment made to work.
Where We’re Going
What began with an innovative approach to splitting wood has grown into a diverse range of equipment and products, including log splitters, wood chippers, Fast Freddy lay-flat hose and extension cord winders, three-point hitch attachments, industrial waste shredders, decorative steel fire pits, and more.
We aren’t resting on our laurels, though: Split-Fire is always trying to innovate and think of new products we can develop and make at our factory in Norwich, Ontario. As we look towards the future, we will make sure that our products are made with the same values as they always have been, and are always made 100% in North America.
