The Split-Fire 2265 is a perfect machine – I am so thrilled I went with this model over others. The design of it is extremely well thought-through and everything seems designed with intention and usability & serviceability in mind. I ordered my 2265 in March 2025 directly through Split-Fire and they were fantastic to work with. They helped me ensure the model & options I chose fit my needs, and the splitter was shipped quickly from Canada to my home in the USA. It came fully assembled with the engine and hydraulic oil already filled – I just needed to put gas in the tank! The splitter works like a dream. Hasn’t got hung up with any knotty pieces I’ve thrown at it, and I can split a little under a full cord per hour without working too hard. I have 5 hours on the machine so far, and loving every minute of it. Would highly recommend the 2265 and this company for anyone looking for a new splitter.

As promised here is a picture of my SS234 (old 3403) spitfire log splitter purchased in 1999 from Bert.
I paid $1300.00 freight paid. I have had no issues with this product. It has split a lot of wood in its day.
The new 3403 I just purchased looks to be very well built also. I has been a pleasure dealing with your company.

Hello, I love the Split-fire carryall that was delivered in March 2023. It is very well constructed with a tool holder and tailgate. I have used this carryall for a variety of lawn and garden tasks including: mulching, moving brush, transporting five gallon buckets of liquid fertilizer, carrying boxes of tubers, moving straw, garden supplies and firewood. The tail-gate in conjunction with the dump function made harvesting and washing potatoes and sweet potatoes much easier. Thank you for constructing this durable and uniquely useful implement.

The pictures above are from a Split-Fire 255 that my neighbour owns in Canada. I have been splitting wood on this machine since he purchased it in 2002. In that time, it has split well over a thousand cords of wood. The wood was used to heat 3 homes for the last 21 years. In that time, I don’t think it has ever not started or needed repair.
During covid my neighbour passed away he was ill and died while the border was closed. The machine sat for 2 years unused. When we were allowed back into the country, I borrowed it and it started on the very first pull. Last fall I split 5 or 6 cords on his machine with no issue pictures above. While at home in the states I was slitting wood for my home with my splitter (not a Split-Fire). I must say it was painfully slow at that time I decided sell my splitter and purchase one of my own Split-Fire machines which I am hoping to take possession of next week. I can’t tell you how happy I was with my neighbour’s machine; I look forward to working with my new machine.

Thank You,

I came across Split-Fire in 2016 when I hired a log splitter for the day. It was a Split fire 3265 and was the best log splitter I had ever used. The quality, efficient operating and performance really impressed me. I continued to hire this machine each year and finally decided to purchase one this year a 2265 due to quick cycle time, deck height and quality of product. Split-fire quality and workmanship finish is superior and will stand the test of time. The design is outstanding for strengthen, ease and speed of operation. I would highly recommend purchase of Split-fire products.

The chipper arrived in Oregon on time even with all the cold and snow across the country.  It really chips the pine, cedar and fir trees we have around here. It was ready to go to work right off the truck. It’s great for the type of trees we have. I’m learning how to prep the hardwoods for ease of chipping too. It’s great to be able to run the chipper in the early part of our fire season when piling for fall burning is all I can do. No more of that, I can cut, chip and walk away and it’s all done. The chips are and added bonus for use around the barn yard.

This is the first 5 hours using my new 2265. I’m 72 and remarkably I only bent over 3 times and that was to pick up pieces I dropped! I bought the unit with the Honda engine and it is simple to start and runs great. I was at first skeptical about the back n forth splitting but once I got use to it I was splitting 20”maple into 10 pieces and they were all on the table  for easy stacking. I’ve told my friends to put their splitters on Craigslist and buy a Split fire 2265! Great product, really well thought out and it split even the gnarliest with only one refusal??

Excellent build quality and an absolute powerhouse. Well worth the money. The large chute opening is great, and the paint job really takes a beating and still looks amazing. It’s perfect for all of the work we need done at our family’s property
