The cross-mounted design puts the splitting zone directly in front of the cab for perfect visibility, and allows you to attack logs from multiple angles, while the internally-located cylinder and heavy-duty steel plate bumper means you don’t need to worry about being gentle; this machine can handle bouncing off a log or the side of a barn without any danger to the hoses or mechanical components.
The 4206 uses self-lubricating UHMW slide pads, and since all the hydraulics are supplied by your loader, it is a zero-maintenance machine. With 32 tons rated splitting force at 2900 PSI, this splitter is designed to get through huge, knotty logs with ease, and an effective cycle time of 4.5 seconds at 20 GPM thanks to Split-Fire’s signature 2-way wedge design means that it works with twice the efficiency of a conventional push-through splitter.
