My wife and I have rented a variety of log splitters since 1986 (Black Forest, Colorado, 7700’). In the 1990s, when our regular Rental Company first offered Split-Fire 2-Pass log splitters, we tested one and immediately liked its simplicity, efficiency, and dependability. Since the beginning of this century we have never used any other system; we (among others) asked for the Split-Fire 2-Pass log splitters by name. By 2010, due to customer feedback and its own reliability, the Split-Fire became the only log splitter that the Rental Company would carry. We liked the Split-Fire so much that eventually we bought one for ourselves.
