Outstanding customer service. I am the proud owner of a 3403 log splitter and a 4003 wood chipper. Both machines work like a charm and maintenance is a breeze. I was happy to pay a little more for rental quality machines and encourage a canadian business but the customer service is really what made it worth every penny to me.Earlier this year I took the chipper on a bumpy road at the back of my tractor and the 3 point attachement structure ended up bending badly under the suden leverage forces of the chipper hanging out at the back. I contacted Split-fire expecting to have to argue with them about the warranty coverage and was suprised to be fully accomodated right of the bat. I was explained that this was the second occurence of this issue and that thay had already reinforced their design on the unit. I was sent a whole new subframe (reinforced) free of charge and compensated at market rate for the time spent swaping the parts. Now, I am a heavy machinery mechanic and I rarely worked on a piece of equipment designed so well. It is beautifully simple to take appart and maintain and relevant torques are ingraved directly on the machine name plate. The only difficulty I had is managing with the heavy weight of the components in my home garage.I am a thoroughly satisfied customer and I would definetly buy again.

Our new Split-Fire 2265 showed up today and I could not be more delighted with the product. I was expecting to have to do quite a bit of assembly, but it came fully assembled. Okay, I thought, I’ll just run into the city and grab some hydraulic oil and engine oil. After checking, I was pleased to learn the machine was fully ready go to – just add gas!! I gave it a warm welcome with a tank full of four-stroke Aspen fuel 😉.Tested the machine out and am beyond ecstatic with how it works. Amazing torque even at low RPMs which keeps noise levels down; fast cycle time; generous log table to minimize handling; a real pleasure to operate! It turns out buying Canadian-made pays off. So incredibly happy that I did not go with a big-box option.Thank you for this wonderful product. I often say “Old sayings become old for a reason!” Turns out “You get what you pay for!”Included a few pictures; this is not where we usually split! I was considering an electric splitter to keep the noise down in our semi-residential area, but have no concerns whatsoever about our splitter - the Honda engine is nice and quiet, makes way less noise than our lawnmower or pressure washer.

We ordered a Split-Fire 4290 in January and received it eight weeks later in March. We spoke with Dillon and Marco on the phone, and they were both very helpful. They had answers to all of our questions and helped us choose which machine to buy. They helped configure it with accessories to meet our specific needs. They even added a custom hitch to the back of the splitter. In the few months that we have owned the 4290, we have gotten a lot of use out of it, and it has met or exceeded all of our expectations. The splitter is very efficient at doing everything from small logs to massive sections of oak. It has lifted and split a few logs with a 40+ inch diameter and had no problems. We recently cut an oak tree with a 34 inch diameter and were impressed with how quickly and efficiently the splitter could process it into firewood. In addition to being so powerful, the machine is also remarkably fuel efficient. We can run the machine at full throttle while using the splitter wedge and log lifter constantly and still get four to six hours of work from one tank of gas.Overall, it is clear that the Split-Fire 4290 is incredibly well designed and tested. Before purchasing the 4290, we had used a competitor’s machine and were thoroughly impressed with how superior the Split-Fire has proven to be. People who have not split much wood would likely not think much of some of the smaller features such as the raised edge to prevent logs from falling off, but things like this make a huge difference and are a testament to how well it was designed. Though it is not cheap, if you are looking for a powerful, reliable, efficient, and well thought out log splitter, the Split-Fire 4290 is one of the best log splitters on the market.

I’ve owned my 3203 with 3’ bed on it for about 10 years and absolutely love it. Only issue I had is I broke the hydraulic handle off when it got hit, within a week I had a new one shipped to me. I added a crane that can pickup 600lb pieces and place on the splitter to keep it at a manageable height all the time.

First off, I'd like to say what a great corporate citizen Split-Fire is.I am a volunteer Board member for the Camp Fircom Society, we operate a children's summer camp on 120 acres of Gambier Island in Howe Sound BC.I was looking for a wood splitter to assist our Site Staff as we try to process danger trees and blow-downs that happen every year.I was able to get a charitable grant but it was less than the amount of the wood splitter we were after. Split-Fire generously offered to accept the difference by way of charitable tax receipt which we can issue as a charity in good standing. They worked with us which is so appreciated. We took delivery of our brand-new 4290 with log lifter this past October. I have to say, what a beast this machine is! The quality craftsmanship is evident from the design to finishing. I really like how sensitive parts are protected from potential strikes with wood and logs, and how the hydraulic oil reservoir is actually part of the frame, you can tell they've thought of everything and many years of experience are built into each machine. This wood splitter can handle ANYTHING we throw at it, from the ugliest knot-filled rounds. The 4290 cuts thru it with ease. The blade that cuts both ways on the stroke is genius and a definite time saver. This saves so much back breaking work. Our camp's location is rural, everything comes in on a boat or barge, so we have to make sure its quality equipment or it simply won't work. I know we definitely made the right choice with Split-Fire.I can't say enough about Split-Fire and their product. I'm also really happy that this product is made in Canada, not China. The quality shows! Please have a look at Split-Fire's youtube channel as they have many of their models on there and videos of their production facility.I can't rave enough about this company and their product. It's the ONLY wood splitter I will recommend. If you want any further info I'd be happy to pass it along, or other photos, just reach out.Thank you!

I should have bought this 30 years ago! It sure is nice and having fabricated many different machines, I can say this 3403 is the best splitter I’ve ever seen. I had them put on the log lifter and it just speeds up the process so much: not to mention it saves my back. Totally worth the extra money. Thanks a lot guys, just a great experience from the initial phone call to actually working with it in the field.

Huge shout out to Marco! I rented a 4090 wood chipper this past weekend and although it came completely un-maintained from the rental company (who was conveniently closed when I needed them) Marco took it on himself to make sure I got spare parts and instruction to get the thing up and running (this was all after normal business hours and on his own time). The 4090 itself works exactly as advertised! We ran it for 6 hours straight with zero issues and it was the perfect piece of equipment for cleaning up a failed silver maple in a backyard 200ft and down hill from the road! I’m blown away by the level of quality and customer service.

I just received my new Splitfire 2265 in April and have been using it all summer. I have used many log splitters in the past and the Splitfire works excellent! The ergonomics beats any log splitter out there. It’s the right height so you are not bending over and breaking your back. The clearance is unmatched to its competitors which means you don’t have to be pressing (or straddling over a tire) just to use the splitter. The log lift is a must!! Not only does it raise heavy logs off the ground, but it makes an excellent table; so you don’t have to keep picking up half of the log (off the ground) every time you split. When you call the company for questions or service its like traveling back into time and getting service in the 50’s. They answer the phone, they are professional, they get you to the right person, they call you back, etc. Let’s not forget the equipment is well built and at a great price point. The only request I have (as an option) would be to design a foot pedal to control the knife so both hands could be free – that would be cool. Other than that, you will never regret ordering a Splitfire.

I bought what I was told was a used Splitfire wood splitter off Kijiji. Turns out, after talking to the company, that it was one of the original ones from 30 - 35 years ago.Their service and support for a 30+ year old splitter that has had at least three owners has been outstanding. As for the splitter itself, as far as I can tell, it's still in almost perfect condition. I hooked it up to my 42 year old tractor and it works greatThat's quality, both in equipment and support.

I recently bought an electric wood splitter and had a minor issue with it. I called the Split-Fire office for help, got to talk to a human immediately, and they stayed on the phone with me until everything was in working order. I've made many such calls during my 59 spins around the sun for support from various companies, for many reasons. None of them come close to my experience today. They blew me away with their professionalism and genuine concern with my problem. THANKS GUYS !!.... I'll be purchasing that new 4003 Chipper next. It's REALLY encouraging to see we still have companies in North America who manufacture such quality products. Dave Tingley - (The Alberta Farmer 🙂

I am very happy and satisfied with my purchase of the Split-fire 4003 PTO chipper. Build quality and attention to detail is excellent. As an example for the attention to detail, there's a plate will the maintenance information directly on the machine for easy access. The Split-fire can chip everything I sent in it, from green birches, aspens, and spruces. I ran it for a few hours and never had an issue. Ran smooth and consistently. I purchased it after owning a 4" PTO chipper for 10 years, and the Split-fire is much better in every way. The Split-fire spins fast which appears to move the material in the exhaust chute faster than other machines, so the chute does not jamb even with the worst of material. The drum is heavier so the machine runs smoother. The opening is bigger allowing for twisty branches and multiple stems to be fed without an issue. The chips are also smaller. I took time to research and find a new chipper, and I'm very happy to have found the Split-fire 4003. Split-fire delivered the machine as promised and on time.

Split fire is an amazing company! We have been so incredibly impressed with their customer service, their sales department, and the shipping and delivery of our split fire wood splitter. We spoke with Kyle, the owner, and he answered out of all of our questions so professionally. We spoke to their sales department regarding payment and delivery. What an incredible team! Our order was delivered completely assembled and exactly as was promised. Then we put the splitter to use. Wow! We had rounds that had serious imperfections i.e., branches that were imbedded deep in the rounds, large knots, twisted wood. The types of imperfections that it would be extremely difficult to split with a maul. It cut through giant rounds like a hot knife through butter. We are retired and of a certain age so, to be able to split and stack the wood so easily was so very impressive! The dual action of the splitter as well as the lifting table our back savers! I believe the one that we purchased was the 2564 but, I’m not positive. We have just been so impressed with our purchase. Truly money well spent! The splitter itself is easy enough to move that even I can do it as a 60 year old blind woman. No kidding! We are so very pleased with our purchase and recommend split fire very highly!

There is not a better value on the market - not even close, in my opinion. I split about 50 fc a year and this thing is a huge game changer for me. I just received a week ago and it has already exceeded my expectations to a large degree. I have the Honda upgraded engine with the log lift and I would buy 3 of them if I had the money. Haven’t been this pumped about a purchase in a very long time.

A few months ago I helped a friend cut and split some very large oak rounds. He rented a Split-Fire for the day. I was very impressed with this splitter, in particular its two-way splitting action and powerful log lifter which doubles as a great working table.I ended up doing some detailed research and a few weeks later bought my own 3265. It has operated flawlessly since I got it and I couldn't be more pleased. It is far more efficient, faster, and safer than most other splitters on the market. It is also very quiet with the Honda engine, which is important to me since I do my splitting in a residential neighborhood and I want to be considerate of my neighbors. If you split between 10 to 50+ full cords a year, l highly recommend this splitter!

I bought a Split Fire 3203. The product is absolutely amazing and exceeded expectations! The build quality of the product is fantastic and I’m sure it will last decades. The dual split feature is hands down the best on the market. Makes splitting so fast and easy. Most importantly the team at Split Fire truly care about their customers and are passionate about their product. I would highly recommend buying this product if you are in the market for a quality built log splitter.Nick

So happy with my splitter!! I love my 4490. The production i get out of it is incredible and it's built to last and outlast me. The service i got from Kyle is out of this world, he really went above and beyond to make sure i was satisfied after some shipping issues that were out of his control. I recommend Split-Fire splitters to anyone looking for a really well built machine that's gonna last. I'm planning on getting their wood chipper next

High-quality product with excellent customer service. It costs more because it's worth it. I'm pretty sure our new 3pt splitter (4203) will outlive all our other equipment and possibly all of us! We run it on a 1978 IH 86 Hydro, which is by no means a high-flow hydraulic system. It does great!

Our new 3203 exceeded my expectations, even when powered by our modest tractor. We Have a New Holland TC26DA which does not have the highest hydraulic flow or pressure. I've not yet found a log that it couldn't split. Also, the cycle time is plenty fast, more than enough to make me sweat. For those on the fence, or comparing it to the other options out there, Split-Fire was definitely the right choice for me. The sales team was honest and up-front, answering my questions and providing suggestions based on my tractor and needs. The splitter's quality is excellent, it is an extremely well-built splitter with thick steel in all the important places and steel lines instead of hydraulic hoses after the splitter valve. There was no assembly required other than installing appropriate hydraulic fittings to connect the splitter's hoses to my tractor. I was splitting wood within half an hour of unscrewing the splitter from the pallet. I expect that the splitter will provide many years of service.

A company really reveals its fibre when there is a problem. Splitfire came through with shining colours !My husband, John, has been researching and dreaming of having a wood splitter for YEARS and finally settled on a 4203 with a 36" stroke from Splitfire. He was SO EXCITED the day it arrived ! There was an issue with fitting OUR tractor however the company resolved the issue immediately. I was VERY IMPRESSED at the company reaching out to us so we'd be happy with our wood splitter. It was re-delivered a few days ago. This morning I walked out to see it in action in the forest and was very impressed with its performance, smoothly and powerfully splitting block after block of wood. After watching John for a few minutes, I stepped up and helped him. I am SO HAPPY John's dream has come true at last thanks to the team at Splitfire.

We have a Splitfire SS234- at least 30 years old and no longer manufactured. After splitting hundreds of cords of wood, the top slider wore out . I was able to easily contact Rick, who explained to me how to pull the splitter apart and remove the old slider. He had the new one sent for next day delivery, and the machine is now fully functional again . Ken Riley
